The Details:

• Solid brass incense burners by PATCH NYC.

• Patch NYC began this new collection by sketching a series of shapes and objects that they thought would make interesting incense burners.

• To bring their pencil and ink sketches to life, they carved 3D models from hard wax like they do with some of their jewelry pieces.

• Using a variety of sculpting tools and a patient hand, they scraped and scored the hard wax surfaces to emulate the line quality of the original sketches.

• Once they had a finished wax prototype they made a mold and had the design cast in solid brass by a fine jewelry caster. As a last step, each brass incense burner is tumbled, and the surface is carefully polished to enhance the detail.
